Stainless Steel Coil & Strip
Hot rolled coils, cold rolled coils and precision stainless steel strip—stocked, processed and supplied by JCN Metal for manufacturing, fabrication and stamping applications.
- Coil thickness range: 0.05–16 mm; strip width up to 610 mm
- Hot rolled in No.1 finish; cold rolled in 2B / BA / No.4 options
- Custom slit width, protective PVC/PE film and small-coil rewinding available
- Export-ready packaging and traceability with MTC upon request
Why Choose JCN Metal for Coil & Strip
You source coil, slit coil & strip from one supplier
Instead of coordinating multiple vendors, you keep one quality standard across master coil → slitting → downstream forming. That means fewer surprises at incoming inspection and fewer “rework” conversations later.
You get processing that fits your equipment
When you need custom slit width, edge condition, or small-coil rewinding by target weight, you can ask once and move forward. It’s built for stamping lines and automated feeding—so your line runs smoother.
You receive export-ready packing with traceability
If you ship internationally, you want consistent marking, sea-worthy packaging and documentation support. You can request MTC and heat number traceability to match your QA workflow.
Simple selection rule: If you want economy and plan further processing, choose Hot Rolled. If you care about appearance, flatness and thickness control, choose Cold Rolled. If your width is narrow and precision matters, choose Stainless Steel Strip (typically ≤ 610 mm).
Complete Coil & Strip Supply for Your Production
JCN Metal supplies stainless steel coils in hot rolled and cold rolled conditions, and stainless steel strip for precision slitting and downstream forming. Our coils can be processed into custom widths and even rewound into smaller coils with specified weight—helpful for stamping lines and automated feeding.
If you are selecting between hot rolled and cold rolled, a simple rule of thumb is: choose hot rolled when you need robust material and economy for further processing; choose cold rolled when surface quality and thickness control matter most. For narrow-width needs, stainless steel strip is typically supplied in widths ≤ 610 mm.
Coil or strip—what you should choose
You should choose stainless steel coil when…
- You’ll do further cutting, forming, welding, machining or polishing.
- You need larger widths (typically ≥ 610 mm) or master coil supply.
- You want a cost-effective route for general fabrication and industrial parts.
- Your process is flexible on surface, because you’ll finish it downstream.
You should choose stainless steel strip when…
- You’re stamping, forming or making spring/clip components.
- You need narrow width (typically ≤ 610 mm) with better control.
- You feed material continuously and want stable coil weight and handling.
- You need tighter tolerance and consistent delivery condition for repeatability.
Typical Applications

Stainless Steel Coil & Strip
Hot Rolled Stainless Steel Coil
Hot rolled stainless steel coil is commonly supplied in No.1 finish and is a cost-effective choice for parts that will be further processed (cutting, forming, pickling, polishing or machining). It provides stable toughness and is widely used for general fabrication.
- No.1 finish options for hot rolled supply
- Best for further processing and industrial uses
- Thickness range covered in coil program: up to 16 mm
- Slitting and recoiling available to match your line setup
Cold Rolled Stainless Steel Coil
Cold rolled stainless steel coil offers better surface quality and tighter thickness control, commonly supplied in 2B, BA and No.4 finishes. It is ideal for appearance-sensitive parts and precision forming where consistency matters
- Typical finishes: 2B / BA / No.4 (plus optional film)
- Improved flatness and thickness consistency
- Great for stamping, forming and decorative applications
- Available in austenitic, ferritic, martensitic and duplex grades
Stainless Steel Strip
Stainless steel strip is designed for narrow-width precision applications. It is commonly supplied in widths under 610 mm, with thickness from ultra-thin foil levels up to several millimeters. Tight tolerance can be achieved for demanding stamping and spring applications.
- Standard width: ≤ 610 mm (wider sizes typically supplied as coil)
- Common strip dimension range: 0.05–3 mm thickness
- Delivery states: soft, 1/4 hard, 1/2 hard, 3/4 hard, hard
- Finish choices include 2B, BA, Hairline, TR and polished
Hot Rolled vs Cold Rolled – Which Coil to Choose?
| Aspect | Hot Rolled Stainless Steel Coil | Cold Rolled Stainless Steel Coil |
|---|---|---|
| Typical Finish | No.1 (mill finish for HR coils), optional further pickling/polishing. | 2B / BA / No.4 and other decorative options; film available. |
| Thickness Range | Often chosen for thicker gauges and robust processing routes. | Preferred for thinner gauges and tighter thickness control. |
| Surface & Appearance | More industrial surface; typically followed by downstream finishing. | Smoother, more uniform surface for appearance-sensitive parts. |
| Typical Uses | General fabrication, structural processing and industrial components. | Appliances, decorative parts, precision forming and stamping. |
| Cost Level | More economical for many industrial uses. | Higher due to additional rolling and finishing, but reduces rework for surface/precision needs. |
